The next generation in towing safety has arrived
AL-KO Vehicle Technology Australia & New Zealand has announced the release of Tow Assist – the next generation in towing safety for Australian caravans and trailers with electric brakes.
Tow Assist has been a joint project between AL-KO Vehicle Technology Australia, Melbourne-based Bosch Australia and Dexter Axle USA, resulting in the world’s first braking system for caravans & light trailers to feature Anti-lock braking (ABS) in addition to Sway Mitigation and Lane Change Control.
With the release of Tow Assist, caravans and trailers can now come equipped with a similar suite of potentially life-saving electronic safety features as the tow vehicle, making towing safer than ever before.
The system also features the integration of a Bluetooth smart app, offering built in distance tracking to help identify trailer service requirements
